June 2012

Snapped these pictures last weekend when we visited the local Arts Festival. If you read my About me page you’d know about my love for Art. Wore my most comfy/hippy style C&C California maxi dress for the occasion. A hat and a makeup free face are a must for me if i am going to be out in the heat for a while. You don’t want a melting face.

Below are some of the pieces I found interesting. Hope you enjoy them as I did and have a great Friday!

Movie character inspired wall art.

Little white dress. Would make for a perfect dressing room wall art.

….a body con little white dress

Beautiful butterflies

Gotta love Fall

Handbags to make PETA red

I swoon each time I see horses 🙂

Hmmmm everything and everyone has eyes.

I really wanted to hear this woman’s story but couldn’t catch the artist in time. Her head is tiny. She looks serene.

Trending: Pleated ASOS Maxi Skirt

Shoes:Stuart Weitzman (on sale here)
Skirt: ASOS (as seen here) (similar and on sale here)
Jacket:H&M (Levi one on sale here)
Hat:Rag and Bone
Necklace:Ann Taylor (sold out)
Top:Forever 21

When I am putting together my outfits, I rarely plan ahead. I usually just pick one piece that I know I want to wear and go look into my closet and grab items that I think will go together with my piece of “interest”. This outfit I am wearing is on of those that I realize after that is has more than one trend element. Neon, cap toe, maxi pleats, denim, all together!. I could have it no other way. To me as long as the pieces flow effortlessly, it’s a go 🙂

What are your thoughts on mixing at least two trendy pieces in one outfit?

All White and Mustard

Shoes:Stuart Weitzman (on sale here)
Blazer: BB Dakota (as seen here) (similar here)
Necklace:JCrew (another great turquoise necklace here)
Pants:Zara (cute cropped white pants here)

Took advantage of the cool weather over here to whip out my mastard blazer. It literally started puring rain after taking these pictures. The shoes are a new add and I have not been able to take them off since I got them. They are surprisingly very comfy. I could walk a mile in these and never feel a thing. I am obsessed. They are currently on sale with additional 25% off the sale price at Neiman Marcus.

As usual my weekend seemed short (too much to do). Hope we all have a lovely and productive week ahead!

Floral pants and Peplum

ASOS Peplum Top

Top:ASOS (3/4 sleeve version here)
Necklace:Vince Camuto
Shoes:Miu Miu
Watch:Michael Kors
Clutch:Kurt Geiger (also want the white version here)

Yep, still on the peplum badwagon. We are not quitting each other yet. Hope you like this floral pants and peplum top mix. I have been seriously coveting this red peplum top from Zara. Well, maybe after my self imposed Zara shopping freeze.
