First off, I’d like to thank you all for the overwhelming amount of positive feedback I got on my new hairstyle. I’m enjoying it so far. I was really nervous about what you guys were going to say about this. Again, thank you all so much for your kind words and support. For the last year that I have been blogging, I have discovered so many things about my self. Most are physical attributes (discovered these through pictures!) and also how much I can push myself. If you have been following me for a while you’d notice that I’m always wearing sunglasses with my outfits. 80% of the time it’s because of the sun and the rest is due eye “issues”. I started noticing under eye bags on pictures but didn’t see them when I looked in the mirror.
Today you might be wondering why my glasses are off, I have been using an eye cream by Bobbi Brown which has been a life saver. I tell you, to get to this point I had to go through a lot of disappointments which turned into learning experiences. The problem I had right out of the gate was thinking that I was going to find an eye cream that will instatatenously erase the bags, it doesn’t exist! (at least to me). I realized that most eye creams work as a long term treatment, you get to see the results after the skin underneath your eyes is well hydrated. I just wanted to share this with you in case there are some of you out there who are going through this struggle. Pick an eye cream and stick with it, the results will come later.

Over the weekend I decided to part ways with my hair; my own and extensions. I have been wearing extensions for the longest time and they were starting to damage my hair. It felt so liberating, I am happy I did it. I would like to thank my instagram friends who “held” my hand through out this process. I really appreciate the support from the decisison to the outcome.
Thoughts on the new hairstyle??
Hi Guys!, for today’s post, the lovely Lohi from Lohiscreations is taking over JustPatience. Her blog has the most tantalizing, saliva inducing exotic cuisine. I am not kidding!, you can head over to her home and see it for yourselves. Here she is, hope you enjoy her post.
This is a recipe for a sandwich that is very simple to make but tastes better than
any grilled chicken sandwich I have ever bought. What makes it different is the
suya spice that I add to the marinade. It brings out an amazing flavor in the
chicken and adds a nice spicy flavor to the meal! This is a very simple recipe but
such a play on flavors in your mouth! Enjoy!
1 Sandwich bread – (Your favorite kind, It doesn’t really matter)
2 boneless chicken breasts
1 teaspoon suya spice
(To make suya spice):
Blend – 2 tablespoon Roasted peanuts. ½tsp Pepper, pinch Salt, ½ tsp
Paprika, ¼ tsp Curry, onion powder, garlic, and ginger powder
1 tablespoon garlic mayonnaise
Cheddar or mozzarella cheese
Salt and black pepper to taste
– In a bowl, marinate the chicken breast with salt, black pepper and add suya
spice. Using your hands, rub the spice mixture well into the chicken and
allow to rest for 20 minutes covered at room temperature.
– Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees and grill the chicken for 30-45 minutes,
turning once half way through to ensure both sides are cooked and
– Cut the bread open and stack the sandwich up however way you prefer.
Toast for 1 minute if you like a toasted sandwich, voila!

I have been getting my sweater collection ready for Fall and I couldn’t resist this cute French Hen sweater by J-Crew. I knew it was a lost battle as soon as I laid my eyes on it. I am a sucker for anything with animals. Oh, my lovefest with the Edie Grand continues. I am wearing it as a clutch which seems more appropriate for this casual look.
