Fall Nail Polish Picks

This last week was the Younkers Goodwill sale. It’s one of the few sales in the year when makeup and beauty products go on sale. So I took advance of this and stocked up on nail polish I will be using for Fall.

1.Estee Lauder Fuchsia Flame: Bright colors are continuing into Fall so I decided to stock up on this pink hue from Estee Lauder. This color is so yummy and I could stare at it all day. This will add some pop of color to any dull Fall look.

2.Chanel Blue Satin Le Vernis: This was my first time buying Chanel nail polish. I have heard good things about it. I love this cobalt like color. It reminds me of my middle school years in Zimbabwe when we used to use the blue ink pens to paint our nails. Poor kids, disobeying rules I guess. It takes me back each time I wear it. Pretty color that is hot for Fall.

3.OPI Havanna Dreams: This baby blue hue OPI nail polish is one of my all time favorites. I usually add the OPI Only Gold for me Top coat to add some sparkle two it. The baby blue and the gold sparkles go so well together.

4.Chanel Quartz Le Vernis: Another it color for Fall. I would describe this as a golden version of the nude color. Very pretty especially in natural light.

What nail polish colors are you going for this Fall?

Kate Somerville Exfolikate Review

It’s been a while since I’ve done a Beauty post. I am not one of those people who was blessed with flawless skin. See my Clarisonic Brush review post. The good news is, I can work on it to get there. I am always on the lookout for the next best skincare product to help my skin stay as flawless as it can be. I am not really a makeup person, don’t get me wrong, love it and I think it makes people look prettier. For me, it’s about the inexperience of applying it and the time it takes to apply. So I tend to always go bare except for special occasions (and some pics for the blog :)). This calls for me to be more vigilant with my skin care routine since I can’t cover up the flaws!

So, I found this miracle exfoliating cleanser, Kate Somerville Exfolikate. A Sephora associate highly recommended it when I told her about my occasional breakouts. I looked at the bottle and the price, and told her, I’ll pass. It’s $65 for a 2 fl. oz tube! I took a sample regardless to see what the hype was about. After just 1 use, my zits disappeared overnight! The sample lasted for 1 week and I went to buy my own. It’s so worth it, the bottle is small but you only use a little bit so the $65 goes a long ways. Get a free sample at Sephora and see the wonders that this product does. Seriously!

My Necessity

Do you have a non essential thing you cannot live without? Something you can’t improvise on. I found out I do! Last night I found my toothpicks box empty and realized I was out, this didn’t faze me much, I assumed that I will find at least 1 toothpick in my purse. I looked in all my purses and there was nada. What are the odds of that happening? I went crazy and so did my teeth!

See, these are not just any kind of toothpicks, they double as dental floss. Having braces, food gets caught up between my teeth more and I rely on these toothpicks to clean the food up before I brush. As far as I know they are only sold in Walgreens stores and the nearest one to my house is about 10 miles away. Guess what I did late at night, I got into my car in my PJs and drove to the 24 hr Walgreens to get my fix brushpicks!

I can’t live without The Doctor’s brush picks interdental toothpicks. How I can explain or describe them to anyone is, I questioned the existence of the wooden toothpicks and dental floss after I found these. They can fit in between teeth easily and can bend at any angle. I highly recommend the Doctors Brush Picks to anyone who feels that flossing is too much work to deal with. Read the reviews here.

My empty pack :(
