Christmas is my favorite of all Holidays! The bet way to describe it is, I live so I can decorate for Christmas and enjoy the holiday. Every year I look forward to it with eager anticipation, same as I did when I was a little girl. Growing up in Africa, my parents (most families) went all out for Christmas. That day you’d wear everything new from head to toe and feast on things that you’d not eat everyday and that’s when people would take their break from work. They made it really special and I always hold dear those memories. Because of that, I told myself I will make a big deal about Christmas to create hopefully special memories for my daughter.
This year I was drawn more to natural elements (could be because of my new found love of Gardening). I also wanted to add in my two accents in the house, blue and pink. So the Christmas tree is blue, pink, gold, silver and white. The gold, silver and white ornaments, I already had them at hand, I just had to add the pink and blue ornaments from Target and Hobby Lobby.
One of my favorite buys is this Restoration Hardware Faux Eucalyptus & White Berry Wreath. This item sold out fast. I had the 24inch in my cart and when I went back the next day that size was gone! I was forced to get the bigger size wreath which I am kinda glad I did because it scales so well with my door. I added the Mackenzie and Childs ribbon which I carried throughout different areas in the house. The chalet bell is also from Restoration hardware. Makes a nice sound when there is some wind blowing.
This is my favorite Vignette. I love the different textures from the pine garland, the Simon Pearce Silver Leaf Evergreen trees, the wrapped presents and snow flocked artwork behind. The twinkle lights takes the whimsicalness to the next level. I have the twinkle lights everywhere!
