For the longest time I have been looking for an emerald green dress. You can imagine my excitement when I walked into J-Crew and found this dress, on sale plus extra 30% off! Wore this look to work on Thursday and got lovely compliments :) I have been loving the lastest trend of wearing sleeveless dresses over shirts. This stripe Dorothy Perkins dress would also be perfect to wear over a white shirt.

I gotta add, I switched into leopard flats after lunch, you know how it gets at that time.Do you guys switch between shoes at work or am I the only crazy one? Have a great weekend and thank you for all your support.

  1. Patience,

You always look gorgeous from head to toe. That shade of green is lovely on you! Love the cap toe shoes and that pretty yellow color on your nails is an awesome contrast against the green dress.

  2. Love the green dress on you – such a pretty bright summery green! And Patience – I just read that rude comment by that Ali girl – ignore those negative people. Jesus – it is a personal blog, it’s not like we all have hair stylist blowing out our hair. You always look great and this week I have a post inspired by you (since I bought that polka dot Asos skirt). Really angers me when I read negative comments like that. What is wrong with people? Your stylish and always look fabulous.

  3. For what it’s worth I’ve never noticed a problem with your hair – even after looking REALLY hard as per Ali’s comment. I always thought it looked well pulled together, just like your outfits. Don’t let someone else’s opinion bother you – Ali there is in the minority. .

P.S – The dress is kelly green, not emerald, which would be a deep blue-green hue.

    1. Hi Anna, thanks so much from the bottom of my heart for your kind words. It’s people like you that make blogging fun and worthwhile. About the color, I might be color blind :), I see emerald green, the lighter version.

  4. You always have nice, chic and stylish outfits. But your hairstyles are always such a huge disappointment: so cheap and unkept. It destroys all your looks. You are so pretty, why don’t you solve this hair situation? You would look great with a short style or just invest in quality hair! Good luck!

    1. Thanks for the compliments. About the hair situation;I always try to switch up my hairstyles every now and then. Maybe you can help with suggestions of what you think is good hair.

  5. Love how the bright green and great layering updates this 60s style shift. You have such wonderful colours in your closet!

  6. Oh Patience, I totally feel you on switching the shoe gear. I love my big girl shoes, but when I need to move quickly I too switch it up. Love, your outfit as all the others you rock!

  7. Oh Patience! This dress is PERFECT!!! I love how simply chic it is. Green is a great color on you! I am a fool that does not bring flats with me and often find myself slapping my own wrist for it.

  8. I love how you have accessorised it. The green dress looks fab combined with the crisp white shirt. Not sure about the nail polish though but overall a fantastic look.

  9. I have been loving the lastest trend of wearing sleeveless dresses over shirts, too!!! And, of course, switch high heels to flats, or wear heels only for photo shoot are my things! :) XX
