Little Swing Dress

April 2, 2013

It is hard to pull of an all black look if you have a dark skin tone like me so this is the only little black dress I have in my closet. It’s also hard to wear a little black dress in many ways. Not this one; I have also worn and styled it differently here and here. Because the dress is sleeveless you can wear it with a shirt underneath or a sweater over it. Added floral pump and the coral clutch infuses some much needed color and contrast with the black dress and tights.

  1. The dress is very interesting itself because of structure and style.
The dress, bag, lipstick combo is great, but the tee (top?) what is underneath is too thin. The fabric should keep the form – as well as shoes: they are beautiful, but not edgy enough o keep up with the dress…

    1. I beg to differ Missy. I wasn’t going for the edgy look, this is a look I have worn to work. So def not going for edgy. And the t-shirt too thin comment, aren’t they meant that way?

      1. Ok, I got your idea:)))

What I meant about t-shirt is that it would be good that the t-short fabric would be thicker (or more homogenious), to visually support the clean lines of the dress… Difficult to explain:(
