Sunroom Before and After

August 26, 2011

Daybed in the sunroom.

It’s been almost a year since we moved into our house. I assumed I would be done decorating by now but I am still far from it. I guess the decorating process never ends. I thought I’d share with you my favorite room in the house, the sunroom. This is my oasis, I go there to read, nap, drink tea, meditate and sometimes just to be there :). My sister is always makes fun of me saying one day she will find me mummified in the sunroom because of the amount of time I spend there.

I am excited for Fall to come, summer the room can get too hot sometimes. The sunroom decoration process was kind of daunting at first until I decided I wanted a day bed in there. Most sunroom inspiration pictures I looked at had rattan furniture, that wasn’t my style. I plan on adding a real potted citrus tree, to add some green and a white tray/butler’s table (been having a hard time finding the right shade of white).

See the before picture here.

Love these Restoration Hardware blue hurricanes made of hand blown glass. Every room in the house has candles. Love them! You can call me the candle lady. Seriously, it’s that bad.

Wall magazine rack from Pottery Barn. Reminds me of the best thing about Dr’s Offices, their magazines!

The view of the backyard from the daybed.

Happy Friday to you all!
